A DAY AT MASTERS SCHOOL By BONNIN Emilie 2.12 The MASTERS SCHOOL is at the top of Clinton Avenue, very close to the Hudson River, in Dobbs Ferry, NY. Its quite an old school since it was founded in 1877. Although only 350 students work there, the school owns large playing fields, a gymnasium with modern equipments and a theatre.
Every morning, from 8 oclock to 8.30, a conference takes place in the lecture hall. Each student and teacher has to attend it. During this, anyone can speak about whatever he wants : war, school, music Even the « Saturday-Night-dance ». When its someones birthday, everybody sings the famous song. At the end of that « meeting », each student goes back to his class.
Lunch takes place at the cafeteria. Students and teachers can eat from 11 am to 1 pm.
A schoolday usually ends at 3.30 pm, but numerous pupils have other activities : some of them do sport training, some others preferto draw Thats really great !
I felt very well in that school : everybody was so kind to me ! I really spent a good time there. |
