This school yard is called "the quad", which is reminiscent of Oxbridge. We can see the chapel, and behind the yellow bus waiting for us, the Headmaster's residence. The chapel is used for mathematics classes. I bet our math teachers at the lycée Fabert would enjoy teaching there!
Hackley's library, with all its books and magazines is particularly well provided for. You can see a beautiful stained glass window at the far end, and the librarian, Mrs. Linda Morgese is extremely friendly and knowledgeable: you can ask her all about New York City, she should be able to help you fill in our daunting questionnaire.
The school was created in 1899, which is quite old by American standards. In this part you can find the Headmaster's office and on the right the cafeteria, where the food is excellent, some French students even claim that it is better than at the lycée Fabert (how dare they?). There, you can have the famous donuts and muffins with your coffee in the morning, and the salad bar offers a wide variety of foods to suit all tastes for lunch.
